American and Spirit Airlines returns to Nicaragua
At 12:18 p.m. on November 30th, 2022, the Boeing 737-800 of American Airlines landed at Nicaragua’s international airport from Miami—after a pause on its operations due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The airline will offer 2,240 seats a week, which will strengthen and diversify the options to visit Nicaragua by air. Hours after, at 1:26 a.m. on December 1, another US airline returned to Nicaragua: Spirit Airlines, that will be flying between Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Managua.
